Overview
TT Arena is a table tennis tournament management platform. We provide tools for tournament organizers to create and manage tournaments, and for players to register, track their match schedules, and follow live results.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and what rights you have over your data. By using TT Arena — whether as an organizer, player, or referee — you agree to the practices described here.
Plain English summary: We collect only what we need to run tournaments. We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads. Player phone numbers are used only for login and are not shared with third parties.

Data We Collect
We collect different data depending on your role on the platform:
Tournament Organizers
- Name and email address (used for account creation and login)
- Tournament details you create (name, date, venue, categories, fees)
- Payment and billing information (processed by Razorpay — we do not store card details)
- Communication preferences
Players
- Mobile phone number (used for OTP-based login — India only)
- Full name, date of birth, city, and academy/club name (provided during tournament registration)
- Profile photo (optional, chosen by you from provided avatars or uploaded)
- Tournament history and match results
Referees
- Mobile phone number and name (provided by tournament organizer)
- Access code (issued per tournament)
- Match scoring activity logs
All Users
- Device information and browser type (for technical support)
- Usage data (pages visited, features used) — used in aggregate, not individually tracked
04 — How We Use Your Data
How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect solely to operate and improve TT Arena:
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To generate tournament draws, schedules, and match results
- To display your registration details to the tournament organizer
- To show your match schedule and live results in the Player Portal
- To send OTP verification messages via SMS (India only, Firebase/Google)
- To calculate platform fees and process payments (Razorpay)
- To improve platform features based on usage patterns
- To communicate important updates about your tournaments or account
We do not use your data for advertising. TT Arena is ad-free. We do not profile you or sell your data to any third party.
05 — Data Sharing
Data Sharing
We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Tournament organizers can view the registration details (name, phone, category, DOB, city, club) of players who register for their tournaments. This is the core function of the platform.
- Firebase / Google — our authentication and database infrastructure. Firebase processes phone numbers for OTP delivery. Google's privacy policy applies to this service.
- Razorpay — our payment processor. Razorpay handles payment data under their own privacy policy. We do not store card or UPI details.
- Public tournament pages — participant lists and draw results may be publicly visible via shareable links created by organizers. Players consent to this by registering for a tournament.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.
06 — Data Storage & Security
Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore), with servers located in the United States. Firebase is a Google Cloud product that meets industry-standard security certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Firebase Authentication handles all password and OTP verification securely
- Access to organizer data is restricted by Firestore security rules — only the tournament owner can modify their tournament data
- We do not store raw OTPs or phone verification codes
While we take reasonable precautions, no system is entirely secure. Please use a phone number you control for your account and log out on shared devices.
07 — Your Rights
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information (players can edit their profile in the Player Portal)
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
- Portability: Request your registration and match data in a machine-readable format
- Withdrawal: Withdraw consent for data processing at any time (note: this may prevent you from using the platform)
To exercise any of these rights, email us at ttarena.app@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Note for players: Your registration data (name, phone, results) is visible to the tournament organizer. To have your data removed from a specific tournament, contact the organizer directly or reach out to us.
08 — Children's Privacy
Children's Privacy
TT Arena is used by players of all ages, including minors participating in table tennis tournaments. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
If a minor is registering for a tournament, it is the responsibility of the tournament organizer and the parent or guardian to ensure that the registration is appropriate and consented to. We do not use children's data for any purpose beyond tournament participation.
If you believe a child's data has been collected without appropriate consent, please contact us at ttarena.app@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the platform evolves. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of TT Arena after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
